Energy Therapy is a combination of techniques to restore balance and align your mind, body, and spirit. My approach is holistic, which means all parts of the complete system are treated as a whole, rather than individually.
Sessions can consist of: Reiki, Intuitive Healing, Chakra Balancing, Guided Meditation, Crystal Therapy, Aromatherapy, Creative Visualization, Affirmations and more.
Intuition is defined as "the ability to understand something immediately, without the need for conscious reasoning". It's comparable to the magic of watching a professional do what they do best - it just flows naturally. As a clairsentient ("clear sensing") and empath (intuitive feeling), I pick up on energy around me, whether that be another human, animal, or even a stone! Everything in our world is made up of energy and is in constant motion, vibrating at a specific frequency.
My approach to successful healing work with clients requires maintaining neutral space in order to "read" in between the lines - it's like piecing together a puzzle by simply knowing the big picture will surface. There is no effort, no attachment. This means that in practicality, I use psychic tools to access information that is held in the energetic field and translate it.
I know what your next question is... NO, I CANNOT READ YOUR MIND! ;P
The word "psychic" actually refers to uncovering hidden information... That I can do.
*I do not practice predictive reading or forecasting (because the future shifts according to your actions).
Utilizing the Universal Life Force (Ki), this ancient Japanese hands-on healing technique restores balance within the body, eases the mind, and facilitates healing on all levels (physical, mental, spiritual, emotional). By dissolving blockages and clearing stagnant energy from meridian channels, we recover your innate ability to align with the flow of life.
Through a series of traditional hand positions, the 7 major energy centers of the body (chakras) are addressed in addition to their corresponding endocrine glands. The endocrine system regulates vital cell, organ, and body functions by releasing essential hormones and chemicals into the bloodstream. This includes: metabolism, growth and development, tissue function, sexual function, reproduction, sleep, mood, etc. Studies have shown Reiki's positive effects on the nervous system and it's ability to reduce stress and anxiety to promote healing.

Every session starts with a consultation. I need to know how I can help!
I'll invite you to hop up on the massage table and get comfortable lying on your back. A soothing eye pillow scented with essential oil will be placed over your eyes. First step is to "scan" your body, noting any energetic imbalances. Starting at your head and sweeping my hand above the surface of your body down one side and up the other. Then I start the Reiki treatment, starting at the head again and moving down the body through a sequence of hand positions. Some clients feel physical sensations such as tingling, tickles, static, movement patterns, pulsing, etc. You are welcome at any point to communicate with me about what you are experiencing. Feel free to readjust your arms, body or head if necessary, it will not interrupt the flow of energy. When the treatment is complete, we share our experiences and I will highlight any information that is pertinent to your healing.
Immediately following a session you may feel relaxed, euphoric, and rested. Occasionally clients feel emotional - energy work can cause shifts in the body that manifest as feelings that may need to be expressed or released. I must say that a few tears shed on the table means we did some good work. :) Of course, walking out the door on a natural endorphin high is our goal!
Depending on what was addressed during the session, I encourage clients to take it relatively easy for the day(s) following. Plenty of water and sleep are always recommended and simply being aware of how you feel and caring for yourself accordingly. Questions are always welcome via email!
The numbers of session and time in between them is dependent on what your treatments goals are. I recommend that everyone start out with at least one full-length session to get the complete experience and receive the benefits of treatment with proper consultation. If you're seeking solutions on a deep physical or emotional level, 3 full-length sessions (The Reiki Reboot Package) would be good to commit to. These would be spaced out over a couple weeks so that your body and mind have time to appropriately assimilate the energetic shifts. If you have a non-stop lifestyle, weekly Reiki Refresh mini-sessions may be perfect for stress maintenance. There are a lot of different ways to approach treatment and I will most likely receive an intuitive answer for what might be best for you. Please reach out if you're not quite sure where to begin.
Reiki is completely natural, it simply consists of the flow of universal energy. It is super safe to use in combination with other treatments, medications, supplements, etc. Reiki and acupuncture treatments are an excellent pair due to the overlapping foundation in meridian work and energy centers. (If you happen to need a referral, there are 2 acupuncturists in the building!)
Reiki works on the principle that energy spans time and space. The Hermetic Law of Similarity supports this notion, stating that we are all connected, as we are all energy matter and part of a larger whole. Therefore, it's always possible to connect via intention. Along with the power of strong intention, sacred symbols are passed down through Reiki generations and one of the most important is the "distance" symbol. This concentrates the intention and allows for the energy to be delivered exactly the point and time desired. Magic!
Many clients report correlating physical sensations to the area being worked on by the practitioner during remote sessions! For the skeptics out there, I feel there's a high possibility you may become a believer after receiving a remote treatment... Are you game?
Becoming a Reiki Master requires one's commitment to teaching the sacred knowledge. It's an agreement that is not taken lightly in the Usui method. The Level One is attunement for self practice. Level II is certification to be a practitioner. After recently being Level II re-certified after 15 years of practice, I still do not have the urge to make the commitment to become a Master... yet. ;) I assure you that this nuance in titles makes absolutely no difference in the power of the treatment I can offer my clients!
There are many studies that confirm Reiki helps reduce stress and anxiety. The Center for Reiki Research is completing a large scale study in which 1200 sessions have returned consistent data that Reiki is improving tiredness, pain, nausea, depression, shortness of breath, lack of appetite and well-being. The goal is to complete 2000 sessions within 2017.

Here are some juicy tidbits for you to chew on over at the International Association of Reiki Professionals website. https://iarp.org/reiki-clinical-setting/
•Reiki is now one of the top three complementary in-patient therapies in U.S. hospitals, according to an AHA (American Hospital Association) survey. Massage therapy takes first place, with 37% of hospital patients requesting it. Number two is music and art therapy at 25%, and a very close third is “healing touch therapies” at 25%, which included Reiki and Therapeutic Touch.
• Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York not only offers Reiki therapy to patients but also teaches Reiki once a month, inviting the patients’ caregivers, the patients themselves, and the general public to learn it. “Patients love it,” says Simone Zappa, RN, an administrator in the Integrative Medicine Department at Memorial Sloan-Kettering. “And they love it because it works."
• According to an International Association of Reiki Professionals (IARP) study of “America’s Best Hospitals” (the top 25 ranked by U.S. News and World Report in 2002), 60% of them had formal or informal Reiki programs in place. All hospitals using Reiki said that they believed Reiki to be at least somewhat beneficial for patients, and 67% said they believed Reiki to be highly beneficial.
FYI: World-famous Cedars-Sinai offers Reiki calming sessions on their list of offerings through their Spiritual Care Department!
